Your G8 dive reel is supplied with a stainless steel locking screw and stop nut. The end of the locking screw has a stop nut to prevent accidental loss.

Spool locking is accomplished with two (2) large holes which enable the screw to penetrate and provide a positive lock.

A redundant spool lock can be accomplished by placing a bolt snap thru hole in side of spool.

Lubricate occasionally with oil or WD40

Spool tension is continuously applied with Manta’s innovative wave washer.
